I'm excited. Can't wait for the game tomorrow. I'm not sure I can do my necessary work in the hours building up to it. Anyway. I am not going to put anything past the Giants. The Pats were underdogs 7 years ago and won. Naturally, I think and want the Pats will/to win.

Boo yah! GO PATRIOTS!!!!!!

gofridge promising to buy a Citizen watch was the incentive Eli Manning needed to defeat the evil Packers in the NFC Championship Game. gofridge wonders if promising to buy a second Citizen watch if the Giants win the Super Bowl or a Movado watch if the Patriots would get both quarterbacks to work harder.

The spread is 12, in favor of the Patriots. Here's one to hoping for the Giants.

Not sure, but I don't think the Pats have beat the spread this postseason, so I have little cred in that.

My only real problem with the Super Bowl is that it's usually a fair (not great) game that's spread out over a whole evening. You get way more time to bond with VERY expensive commercials than to see the teams you rooted for (or against) actually play. Not that regular season games are "all play" by any means, but the Super Bowl is more the "Super Commercial Bowl."

I have mostly given up on actively watching any pro sports because of this kind of stuff. I watch basketball with a friend because she's a rabid fan and won't miss a televised game if she can help it, but even she complains about how little game is there in between commercials. I stopped watching NFL games except on certain holidays with certain people because of this too. College sports are almost as bad, but at least the commercials include stuff about the schools involved. What's really the thing is to go to an actual college football game between schools that are not in one of the huge conferences. I used to take in a Texas State game now and then (back when they had their real name, "Southwest Texas State") and between the sideline stuff and the bands, it was quite a show.

I expect to get everything I might possibly get about the Super Bowl online tomorrow morning. And while there's probably no chance to accidentally see another of Janet's piercings, I'm sure there will be something for everyone to go gaga about. Enjoy the game-I'll be watching the "Enterprise" marathon or something.

The Pats and Jints played a pot boiler in December! I am hoping for a similar great game with great commercials. I hope Janet Jackson will be watching somewhere far from the half time stage...

The winner will be Tom Brady, who gets to go home to his supermodel girlfriend win or lose.

You have somehow managed to go from lame and tired further down to sad and boring.

Well done.

Wouldn’t “further down” from lame and tired be paraplegic and asleep?

(And: Super Bowl Schmuper Bowl. I’m so glad I’m not working tonight, or I’d be force-fed Super Bowl live footage with commentaries.)

Is this about bashing Citizen watches now? I love mine: an Ecodrive that's not only more accurate than any analog watch I've ever owned, but looks great-and was a present from my wife. It looks a lot like gofridge's picture, but with a stainless band. Not that I don't like Swiss watches, but that I don't dislike any quality watches.
