I posted this thread in the Applications forum, asking for advice on choosing a software package that will let me write pages, keep them organized, automate some bits of the process, etc. It also struck me that maybe I should ask here about web authoring apps, to get a more creative perspective of what apps are available.

I really am not looking for "professional grade" commercial web presence development suites. I want to be able to off-load the majority of the coding to the app, have the app keep up with links within the site, and a few other things. I'd also like to have the app help me with some dynamic content as well.

I'd appreciate any tips, traps, and lessons learned with apps for small-scale, personal web site development and maintenance.

Thanks, all!
