Hi All,

Wondering if anyone else has come across this before - I was exporting some pics from iPhoto to copy across to my Palm Pilot. I selected four photos, and using the Export option, I saved them to the desktop as resized 800x600 .jpgs.

The problem begins when I try to drag these files - if I drag a file individually, it's fine. If I "lasso" two files, they are also fine. If I lasso and drag more than two files, so three and up, then the finder resets itself and the files stay put. I've reproduced this, I can recreate the error at will.

Has anyone else come across this, and was there any resolution? I'm running 10.3.2 and it was happening before and after the most recent security update.

Most vexing...

Cheers,

WJ.

I've had this too! My solution... don't have that many pictures on the desktop. Though I haven't seen it happen since I turned off "Show Icon Preview" in the View Options for the Desktop. Did you have that option turned on too?

I have it too sometimes, really annoying.

To go around I move images within the ~/Desktop/ folder, not on the actual desktop.

The Finder is such a sad piece of software

I've had it this afternoon while dragging something off from an iChat session.
Later it happened again after making a screenshot of a Safari web page.
Don't know what is the cause. Sorry

Well, thanks for the replies - I'm glad that I'm not the only one having these weird problems!

This bug drives me nuts. Not a issue for me as long as I keep my desktop clean thought.

How clean can it be? Two partitions, that's all. And I recently wiped it with a soft towel!
