Here is my updated PM/PB Picture. I will delete the prior photo.
Also posted on the PowerBook Forum.
I just purchased the PB and I'm loving it. No complaints at all!
The Wifi network is cool too. The printer is now plugged directly into the Airport Express and shared by both computers along with the internet cable modem. My mac addiction is now complete.
edit: 12/04 Added Nikon D2H into picture

My wife surprised me for my birthday this weekend. She went all out too. Dual 2.5ghz! She made an elaborate anagram-based game out of my gifts this year. My first gift had a riddle on it that led to the next and so on culminating in the uncovering of this miniature model of a G5.
She later explained she made the mini model because she ordered the G5 in September and it had just come in last week! She was getting nervous so she intended on putting a note in it saying that the real thing was on its way (the optical drive is actually a little tray the slides out which held a paper with my final riddle. With the help of my son I was able to find my final gift in a locked closet. Needless to say, I was completely surprised. Wives just dont get any better than this

I noticed you have a Samsung Syncmaster 173P. Are you happy with it? I've considered this monitor before, but it doesn't have any buttons to control the image, and the image control software is Windows only. How do you control the contrast and brightness? Is the Displays control panel enough to calibrate it?

I just love the Syncmaster 173P. It has got the best color contrast and brightness. I had exactly the same questions but here is what I found out:
1. When I use the DVI input on the monitor I do not need to set anything on the monitor itself. I can calibrate it very well using Apple Color Calibration.
2. When using DVI there is no focus, timing or geometric issues.
3. I tried using it on my pc with the VGA analog in. In that case I had to use the Software Calibration tools from Samsung.
4. I found this monitor to have much much better colors and brightness than the existing Apple Monitors.
5. It comes with VESA mounting brackets
6. You can use both the Analogue and DVI Inputs at once and switch between them by pressing the power button. I have connected my Mac to DVI and PC to Analogue. Very convinient. I can use one monitor for both computers.
The 19" 193P has exactly the same features. Just a FYI
Hope that helps

There's a 19" version?
Cool! Thanks for the info. I guess the lack of control buttons is not a caveat after all...

Where you dual monitor guys getting the pictures that keep going onto the other screen? Custom made for each monitor perhaps? I'd love some big scenes like that to display on my dual screens.
