Forgive me if this seems an idiotic question, but can I use an old Apple 17" CRT with a new Mac Mini? The monitor is in my parents garage, it was bought new in '98, I believe, with a PowerMac G3 Tower that had DB-15 video out.

Well, the mac mini apparently comes with a DVI - > VGA adapter. if the monitor your have is VGA, then you'd hook it up that way. If the monitor is DB-15, then you'd need a second adapter to adapt VGA to DB-15 OR a straight DVI -> DB-15 adapter such as this
