im just switching over from aol instant messnger to ichat and i really need to have the names on my buddy list be smaller than they are. as it stands i can only see like half of my list at a time. is there any way to do this?

Sure. Make sure that the audio/video status is not showing and make sure that their buddy icon is not showing.
All these options can be accessed from the View menu.
