Granted that new powerbooks are coming tomorrow (the 19th) who's buying one? Who's got their credit cards out and ready...
What are you planning to buy tomorrow?
My list:
15" Powerbook
1.5ghz Mac Mini
iPod Video
Apple's new photo manager...
hmm... maybe we'll see what else is released

If there's a decent processor and/or gpu bump absolutely. The ol' Amex is gonna get a workout. If it's just HD displays and a larger drive, I'll have to think long and hard before buying.

Can we really expect a major release this soon after unveiling both the iMac and the iPod? I doubt it.
Granted, both Power lines feel overdue for a revamp, and granted, the mini is crying out to be given FrontRow...but from a purely marketing standpoint, I suspect Apple wants to keep the spotlight on the Video iPod and the snazzy new iMac.

The PowerBooks were last updated right after Macworld SF in January, where the Mac mini and iPod Shuffle were announced. Besides, I don't see a minor PowerBook bump overshadowing the new iPod in the media.

I guess Mac rumors has something about 1999 and 2999 price points, so that sounds like powerbook and powermac alright.
I'm holding out for a mini with a remote and FrontRow. That's as good as mine.

Well if you expected "nothing" in the processor category, that is exactly what you got.

I'll be getting a 15".
I've waited a long time to buy one, hoping Apple would phase out the PPC 7447's and Radeon 9700's in favor of something better, but no luck there. I need to use final cut pro all the time these days, and I'm almost never at home to use my G5, so a brand new 15" 'book it will be. At least the displays are nice.
