Is there any decent video player that actually aware of screens?

I'd like to be able to play videos on the secondary screen, but none of the players I've found offer this.

You mean you have multiple monitors and you want to play on a particular one? Just drag the player window to the appropriate screen.

None of them do full screen that way

quicktime knows about "screens"...if you want full screen on the secondary monitor there's an option to "present movie" and you get to choose which display to use

VLC too. It has a menu item in the Audio menu to choose which "device." It's buggy and often greyed out for no good reason, but in recent versions it goes to fullscreen on whichever screen the controller window is currently on, which is a better solution anyway.

For Quicktime, drag it to the screen you want and then full screen.
VLC has a menu option to choose the screen.

in vlc you have to select the other device then select full-screen -> voila = full screen gorgeousness

Thanks for the info guys; I tried VLC and it's perfect!

I don't even bother with Quicktime anymore, at least not until apple gets a clue and includes a full screen option in its standard player (something ALL other players out there offer)
