Hey

I've got three machines running OS X, and recently unpacked a G4 Cube that I hadn't used since December of last year, due to moving, renovating / fixing up and no time.

So things have been well with the Cube, until I tried to run 'Software Update', since that machine is running 10.1.

For some reason, 'Software Update' insists my software is up to date.

Any ideas on how I can coerce the machine to update? I've already tried copying stuff over from /Library/Receipts on my iMac (which is running 10.1.3, but I can't get them to run on the Cube.

FWIW, when I copied them I used a crossover cable, enabled file sharing and dragged the various packages over.

Thanks for your help and take care

goto apple's site and just download the packages from there. You will need to get the Software update update. There is also a combo update for anything under 10.1.3 I think... (could be .2)

Because of the new software update security fix, software update in versions before 10.1.5 are broken. So the reinstall process is just that much better <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> . When I reinstall I have to go from 10.0.3 CD -&gt; 10.1 Update CD -&gt; Security Update -&gt; Software Update -&gt; 10.1.5 -&gt; 1000's of more updates. Can't wait till i get a clean 10.2 CD.
