The current version of Miglia 1.1.1 is incompatible with Mac OS X Leopard and is stuck with an initializing MigliaTV hardware message. Reinstalls have been unsuccessful in trying to get the software to work. Attempts at contacting support have been unsuccessful due to their website being down. Hope the situation is resolved soon.

MigliaTV is Miglia's own application to watch tv, etc. It is not made by ElGato and relies on different code than EyeTV. It is the only viewer that works with the newer TVMax+ hardware (newer version of the tvmax that used EyeTV)

Hmm...I'm not sure then...I'm guessing the TVMax+ drivers aren't working under Leopard. Have you sent an e-mail to Miglia about this issue?

Apparently they ditched EyeTV. I know for a while people were complaining about bugs in El Gato's software. Despite receiving a replacement unit and at least 10 e-mails back and forth with their support team, I still was experiencing kernel panics.

Good. I hope they address the issue soon. I figured with the Leopard preview being released close to a year ago, their team could have prepared for this in advance. In the meantime, I'll rely on other means to watch my favorite tv shows...

I think it may deals with Safari 3 engine but I'm not sure. When I was on Tiger, I installed Safari 3 Beta, it did make appeared some issues in using MigliatTV, it was totally unusable. I had to uninstall Safari 3 beta and restore Safari 2 for having the problem fixed.

I got the support team response to our issue. Here's the content :

The Safari 3 issue under 10.4.10 was fixed in a matter of a few days with the release of v.1.1.1
Regarding 10.5, yes, there are a few issues that we are trying to resolve. This is not related to Safari, but to some underlying changes in 10.5.
We should have an update out pretty soon.

Wait & see...

I like how Miglia folks also are working on bring 10.5 compatibility with a yet discontinued product like AlchemyTV DVR, really nice

Q: Are AlchemyTV and AlchemyTV DVR compatible with Mac OS X 10.5?
A: AlchemyTV and AlchemyTV DVR are currently not compatible with Mac OS X 10.5. We are working on a software update we expect to be available towards the end of November.

It's good that they admit the problem and give estimated date, although it seems to me a little bit long...

Code many DVR applications for the Mac, do you?

On a serious note, it's great that they're updating the software. I've gotten quite used to watching tv while I'm doing some mindless spreadsheet work.

After contacting support, I was given a link to a beta build. It's working very well.
