If you have updated to 10.3.9 DO NOT update to Quicktime 7. There are apparently incompatibilities and you will be screwed. If you have already, Apple has this "de-updater"
http://www.apple.com/support/downloa...lerformac.html available.

de-updating makes you lose your pro key [B]

Or it could be for those who want to revert to their QT6Pro.

It's for those who don't want to purchase Pro7 and want to go back to Pro6.

Well, I upgraded and now Safari crashes when I want to view an mpg movie (in a browser window) - maybe that's one of the problems?

Quicktime 7 is working OK on 10.3.9 for me. But if you reinstall 6.5.2 you don't "lose" your pro key. You just have to enter it again. No big deal.

I thought 10.3.9 was a requirement for QT7. QT wouldn't show in software update until I updated my OS

QT 7 and QT 7 pro both work fine for me so far. No random quitting when checking movie properties like mentioned in another thread here.

Works fine for me with the exception of HD vids.
Scooters are more fun than computers and only slightly more frustrating
