A simple question that I'd appreciate someone answering for me as I've had no luck finding out for myself on Apple's own site, Google or even these forums:
- What is the RPM of the hard drives that come in the current eMacs?
Thanks,
Simon
PS - How easy is to replace the eMac's hard drive? Are there instructions anywhere on how to do it?

I've looked up the drives in three 1GHz eMacs, and all three had 7200 RPM drives. (Although by spec, I think Apple's allowed to put less.) One IBM drive and two of these:

Not a bad drive, and very quiet.
Also interesting: the new mouse shows up as made by Logitech in the system profiler.

I believe eMacs less than 1 GHz have 5400 RPM drives.
