Powerbook to the TV

hey guys and girls. i have a 15 inch Powerbook that i purchased a year ago. i know i can hook it up to the TV with the s-video cable but how do i go about doing that?

Just plug the s-video out adapter in the port, attach any cable with the video signal port to it (yellow points) and the other end to the video in to the TV and enter the video/game mode.
Go to System Preferences > Display > Detect Displays and you should see the picture! Choose whatever resolution you like thats available

thanks, left my cable at a friends house so i will go get that tomorrow. working on just hooking up my powerbook to my 20inch tv and have wireless keyboard and mouse and just sit in a bean-bag and use my computer there

its nice and fun to hook it up to tv's. I have the super nintendo emulator and back-up roms of games i already own. i hook my powerbook up my 50 inch plasma via DVI cable, and man, it is purdy

haha thats what i want to do and also play WoW on my tv. and its not a 50inch TV but 20 is a good enough size and fits on my crappy TV stand that will hold it.
BTW.......can i have your TV?

ok so i got my cable for my computer and got the yellow rca and got it on the tv, but it seems so small on the TV...what can i do to make it clearer on the TV that it seems its just a bigger LCD screen? any suggestions?

Try changing the resolution in the display settings but thats all the clear that your going to get on LCD TV. Quality for text especially sucks. FrontRow works great though!

so is hooking up just a bad idea? i want to play WoW and other games on the tv and use a wireless keyboard and mouse and use the audio from the TV or my 5.1 speakers

Yeah that shouldn't be that bad I think. I have never hooked up my Powerbook to the TV to play games so I wouldn't really know
Try playing with the WoW display settings and keep the one that suits you best.. If the game is very text oriented with attention to a lot of detail then a TV isn't going to do it much justice although the you should be able to sound all right as long as you have the red rca's plugged in
