SugarSync has introduced a new Remote Wipe feature for its
cloud storage service. First offered to business account customers last month, the Remote Wipe feature is now rolling out to all users. Remote Wipe gives users the ability to remove all of their synced files from a connected computer that has been either lost or stolen. After enabling the feature SugarSync will wait for the selected device to connect to its servers, and will then remove all of the previously synced files and alert the user that action has been taken. The feature will begin rolling out today to all customers with a paid, personal SugarSync account who are running the latest version of the desktop software.
MegaSeg update expands MIDI support
An updated version of
MegaSeg, a DJ music mixing and radio automation app for the Mac, has been updated with more than 70 enhancements. Improvements include optimized MIDI support with new presets for controllers from Pioneer, Numark, and Hercules, a new multi-process A/V mode that takes full advantage of multicore processors to increase stability, and the return of AppleScript support with new commands. Both DJ and Pro editions are available with free demo versions from MegaSeg's website, while the
Mac App Store edition has been submitted to Apple and is expected to be approved soon.
