I just sold my macbook(2006) the white one..and I ereased everything and went to reinstall snow leopard...it didnt work cuz my software cd was scratch...I then used my friends and it wont work. I get all the way to the restart and then it say its not compatable....PLZ HELP

If it's an Install DVD that came with a computer (rather than a purchased upgrade), then it will only boot computers of that particular series.

The workaround is to boot the blanked computer in target disk mode. Then run the installer on the machine that the disc is meant for and select the blanked drive for installation.
Mac Pro 8x2.8 | Macbook 2.13 | Saab Trionic 7 (thats right, runs on a 68k!)
