Bugger! I deleted a couple of cookies - just to see what it would do - and now Safari is broken. It almost launches, but then I get a message saying it's unexpectedly quit. So I reinstall it from the web. Still doesn't work! Now I'm back to IE

Any ideas?

It's already been re-installed - says so in the original message.

You could try deleting the ~/Library/Application Support/WebFoundation folder.

I deleted the prefs as I saw in another forum discussion, and that seems to have worked.
