Hello everyone, I have a probelm with my 867 superdrive quicksilver. This morning, as I tried to turn it on, pressed the power button, it glowed like as normal and when I released my finger, the light faded off again!
I tried over and over again, unpluged it, no luck
any help or advise? have any of you seen this before?
thanks in advance,

This morning - on a 933 G4 - light on momentarily, then nothing. None of the other machines on the network here have had any problem - Dual 1G, Dual 1.25G and old 450. As we work further into the problem, I'll let you know what we find. We'll also see what AppleCare says about this.

Try pressing the little 'reset' button on the motherboard.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. It worked - up and running. I don't know what I did, but it's working now.
Again, thanks

If you're interested in more info on the button and what it does, google for 'CUDA button quicksilver'.
The general idea seems to be unplugging the machine, and then holding the button for 30 seconds.

My DP800 did that once. Unplug the CPU from outlet power for about 5 minutes and press the mobo reset (CUDA) button for about 10 seconds. Then plug it back in and try it.

This happened to me a little while ago too.
Question, pressing this button, will it wipe everything?
Another Question, why did this happen to 3 people today?
---In my case, we lost power, but the computer is plugged into a surge protector. So, I don't know what happened.
