Life is too short for just one operating system. I use my mac as my personal computer (internet, mail, photos, music) and for some lightweight development work. I use my PC for gaming, work-related development, and for specialty apps that are PC only.

I would happily spend 50 bucks for that game if it were available for the Mac.
The different classes make the whole game what it is. And the excellent level design.

I aggree, the different classes make the game so fun because there is so much variety between what you can do.

I am really surprised no mac company has been interested in doing the port but I guess there probably isn't much money/time for them to port it.

I've got my G4, a Beige G3, SuperMac S900 200, Power Mac 8600/200, Mac IIsi, LC III, Centris 650, Mac SE FDHD, and a Mac 512k.

I threw together a PC for $350 last month. Case w/ 350w PSU, ASUS Radeon 9550 128MB, 512MB Crucial DDR 3200, Abit motherboard, Athlon 2000+/266 @ 2600+/333. It's a pretty fast machine for the money, especially in games, but I find that my G4 is faster for just about everything, and I am much more used to OS X than I am to Windows after having no used it for almost 2 years. So the PC pretty much runs SETI all the time except for a few hours when I'm playing a game or something.

It'll get more use when Doom III and Tribes3 have shipped. (I actually used Tribes3 as my motivation to buy the machine).

My only PC is a P3/500Mhz box running Gentoo; it is primarily used for running proftpd and samba. The new iBook is doing everything else, including ssh to access the aforementioned box. -- Tony

At home I have a Powerbook for doing the odd thing on, like e-mail, browsing the web, writing, etc.

Also have a PC running Windows for my main tasks.

At work I have a crappy dull that is the bane of my existence. I will give it credit though - the case is strong when I pound it with my fist.

To lessen the pain I carry my PB, which I cherish and adore.

I have a bunch of PCs, in fact.

*2 laptops: A 25mhz 486SL thinkpad and a 75mhz P1 toshiba
*1 shitbox: a 166mhz P1mmx (but it does have video out!)
*1 partbox: a 133mhz P1 that one day randomly decided not to like the mice I used on it so I just left it in the garage after raiding it for parts.
*1 broBox: 900mhz celery -- gave it to my bro though since he really enjoys playing games and stuff

The shitbox guts are in my BigBlue box.. it's eventually going to get placed back in it's original box and I'm going to stick an athlon 2500 and all the fixings inside
In a realm beyond site, the sky shines gold, not blue, there the Triforce's might makes mortal dreams come true.

yeah, I have a PC too. I use it for MS Money, and my wife and 16month old are allowed to use that. MY PB is mine, all mine.

But I'm going to buy a September iMac for my new lounge in my new house, and that'll be the primary computer. iTunes, email and evr'thing. wheeeeee.

I'm currently using a PC after selling my 12" PowerBook since I wasn't traveling. I wanted to go on the cheap, so I went PC this time. I flip-flop back and forth and I'm sure I'll end up with a Mac again eventually.

In the mean time, this does what I need to do which is basically: web surf, AIM, write papers and listen to MP3s with the PC version of iTunes.

i have to use a pc at work. 'took me about 1/2 to get it to run this morning. it wouldn't boot. turns out that the keyboard was causing a shortage, in turn causing the pc not to fire up at all. I HATE PCs!

The shuttle XPCs are very tempting - for games ONLY. Dear lord, I'd never use a PC for anything I care about...

To be truthful with you, I've found Microsoft Word to be a heck of a lot more stable for PC than for OS X. Maybe it was the version I was using, but it was slower and it crashed more often than not when trying to save and/or exit.
