I'm not sure if it's my imagination or what, but using my mbp in a pitch dark room w/ a Google.Com or any white page open, the screen's brightness pulsates randomly?

If you can test out that experiment for me, I would really appreciate it. I'm not certain if i'm my eyes are playing tricks on me or the screen is.

Thanks

It happens to me sometimes, but only when it is at the lowest brightness level.

Yup, same here.

Try disabling Auto-dimming in the Display options. Then, in the Energy Saving options, uncheck option that dims the display when on battery...

I've noticed it too -- dark room, bright picture, minimum brightness. You can't always catch it looking at straight-on ... it's more of "out of the corner of your eye" thing. I thought I was imagining it.

It is a bit of a problem for me because I use my mbp on the bed quite often before I go to bed while gf is usually alseep. I can't have the lights turned on cuz it'll keep her awake.

I wonder if it had anything to do w/ the inverter they replaced in the lcd? Do you think they'll replace the whole screen or just parts inside? I wouldn't mind trying out the glossy screen for free
