I have a 15" MacBook Pro, and my (autistic) son broke the screen.

Can somebody tell me what I am looking for to purchase a new one. I'd like to buy one then simply take it to a mac repair person as taking it to the genius bar is WAY to expensive and actually cheaper to buy a new macbook.

It's hard for me to find additional info on the unit because the screen doesn't work. The operating system is a 10.4.10 and intel based if that actually helps.

It's about 2 or 3 years old...

Thank you so very much! A quick comparison of the model #'s verified that it's exactly what I need! Thanks for the info, but more thanks for the quick link! It took me this long to respond to you because I ordered the screen straight away!

Did I mention...THANKS!!!
