I check Activity Monitor reasonablt often to check and see what's showing up on my system. Recently noticed ACFOPerformer and have no idea what it's related too. It hasn't been there for too long and was not there when I checked a week or so ago.

Any ideas what 'ACFOPerformer' is and what application is associated with it?

Thanks,

Have no idea. No references to it online aside from this thread.

I know, I did a Google search and it revealed nothing, a source of my concern, especially since my Yahoo email is suddenly getting at least 50 porn site spam emails every day now.

Inspect the process, and go to the Open Files and Ports tab. It may have it's own files open, so you can see where it is on your drive.

Checking the physical file may yield more info. Even scanning the binary may reveal interesting text.

Thanks for the info 'reader50'. I did as you suggested and it's apparently some framework in 'The Print Shop' application dealing with crashed fonts. I looked inside The Print Shop application and it's in one of the Frameworks. I used Activity Monitor to do a forced quit for both items. I then opened The Print Shop and checked and they have not returned so maybe it was just some kind of fluke.

Anyway, thanks again reader50.
