What's the best luggage for carrying men's dress clothes, suits? Preferably something that can be carried on and has wheels?

I just changed careers from totally casual (flip flops and t-shirts) to formal (suits) and am in need of some luggage for traveling. Any recommendations?

thanks,
kman

Suits in bags laid flat in something big enough, shirts folded.

If you are protecting a few thousand dollars worth of suits its best not to cheap out on the luggage.

TUMI Long Wheeled Garment Bag Alpha

There are better more expensive garment bags but this one is solid.

This thread has tons of good suggestions.

I'd probably get a Briggs & Riley next.

My last suitcase lasted about four flights until the corner got smashed hard enough to ruin the zipper. I'll be looking these guys up.

Okay, that thread was great for brand advice, but what about the actual bag? Is it best to get an upright roller bag? A roller garment bag? Any advice on this? What about size? I'm not familiar with all the size requirements. Again, I'd prefer something with wheels (especially after lugging an over-the-shoulder garment bag through Dulles last week) and that I can carry on.

thanks!

TUMI > Tri-Fold Carry-On Garment Bag > Alpha

That one is better - it is a garment bag that can be carried on. I bought one for my dad 10 years ago and it's still his favorite bag.
