Wait, does that mean he'll die in 72 hours, which means the slow and painful injuries start now, or he'll start dying slowly and painfully in 72 hours on the dot? Because if you die slowly, it takes time you know, then it wouldn't be 72 hours. I'd say more like 73.

Well, in the Sylvia Plath/Ghandi sense, he's already dying. But the final process will start in 72 hours.
