Anyone know why my panther freezes up after i wake it from sleeping?

It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough to piss me off... if anyone has ever experienced this and knows a fix for it, please let me know, thanks....

Check in /Library/Logs if you have a panic.log file. Post it here if you find one.

System: Dual 867 MDD
OS: Latest Panther (10.3.1?)

I was about to post the exact same question. 3 out of 5 times I put it to sleep, it sleeps the monitors but I can still hear the fans spinning. I cannot wake it up from this state and am forced to do a hard reboot.

This was happening to me in Jaguar. I installed Panther on a new drive and it's still happening.

It's driving me nutty!!!

That looks like questionable memory. Try pulling any 3rd party RAM and see if it's still misbehaving.
