So it looks like they re-calibrated the taste-o-meter on Last.fm. The early change is I'm medium with two of you peeps, but more oddly my neighbors are completely random in their similarness to me. Before it was all Oasis fans (for obvious reasons), but now it seems their similar artists are just random selections of my music taste that aren't all too dominant. Also none of them are Super,
Also, does anyone else have a weekly snapshot from December missing?

I have 8 Last.fm friends. My music compatibility with each of them:
Unknown. They're not done with me yet.

Actually, it looks like they're recalibrating it again.

Well, all it took was getting Beatles Anthology 1 for xmas to get me to finally change up my listening habits.
A little heavy handed to be sure.
I really feel like i could craft a story out of my top tracks for the week.
---
I find it amusing that the top artists I have in common with Jawbone include ESPN and Leo Laporte.

Not surprising at all, is it?
What is shocking to me is that my music compatibility with my friends is all higher than it was three months ago or so. I've listened to one or two tracks that a lot of you guys have in your most-listened or whatever, but I still mostly stick to my "typical" stuff.
I went from having almost all "very low" compatibility scores to having 4 mediums, 1 super, 1 very high, 1 low, and only 1 very low.

Probably not, thanks to frequency, but I'm a little surprised.

They've definitely rejiggered the taste-o-meter. I suspect they're trying bell curve it a bit.

They're attempting to make me feel like a little less of an oddball.

I throw a party anytime I find a profile I'm medium or better with. (And Oasis isn't prevalent)

I’m always pleasantly surprised when people throw parties in my honour.
I just wish they’d tell me about them sometimes.

I kept the Fleet Foxes album on repeat two or three times through as soon as I got it. I've been playing the mess out of it.
The other artists are pretty much old hat, but notice there's no Coldplay or John Mayer on the list. I would consider this a major happening.

That's not a kick; it's a binge.
A three-day binge or so, by the looks of it.

It's a good thing they have a whole song reminding you to, because the show is both mindbending and breathtaking.

If you actually do what they tell you to in their songs at their shows, I’d suggest going alone, for your girlfriend’s sake. Smack My Bitch Up could become a painful affair for one of you (I won’t say which one).

Just a stupid little bit for you Kings of Leon fans out there...
You might know that their third album, Because of the Times, was named after a United Pentecostal preacher's conference held every year in Alexandria, Louisiana that they attended every year. I just returned from there yesterday.
Here's the namesake of the album:
Sorry for crappy quality. iPhone + Facebook = bad resolution and color mish-mash.

Not wanting to scare anyone, but I've asked both erik and Jawbone to be friends on Last.fm - thank fook for stuff like last.fm, being in France is like being in a musical Ice Age.
I haven't found other posters last.fm usernames in this thread (no I haven't done every page) or I'd pester you guys as well. I'm veteran35th btw.

Cheers.
My iTunes list is heavily skewed by a five year old who likes Mika. Plus, its this thread that is making me listen to artists that I've never heard of before - sad life that I have.

Last.fm and this thread, particularly searching for some of the artists these other guys are listening to, is what has introduced me to some artists that I would've never found otherwise. That's why I keep participating (and scrobbling).

U2's new album has a song called "Unknown Caller" that actually contains the lyric, "Force Quit, and move to trash."
Anyhoo, here are my stats:

Exactly how this happened, although Pop Goes the World got one play, to be fair.

Men without Hats was so absurd I couldn't be bothered.
I'm more curious what part of the Bon Jovi library was explored.

Christ Death Cab for Cutie Radio is s h i t e. You aren't gay though calverson, the few gay people that I know have taste - you have none.
iTunes favs still skewed by 5 year old, especially the birthday party that she had on the 27th.
Pearl Jam is making a comeback atm chez mattyb.
