I need to find a variety of good sites that cover the Ryder cup.

There isn't a lot of coverage here in Europe so I guess you guys are going to have to help me out.

Predictions, etc....?

US will dominate. Tiger is supposedly finding his game, Phil has found his game (although the Callaway switch might cause problems) and none of the Europeans have been playing that well this year..

The official website has a good list of countries that are carrying the Cup: http://www.pga.com/rydercup/2004/eur.../guide_tv.html

You can also use the Official PGA Site

Or the Ryder Cup site they link to

Finally, there's also the golf channel's site

As for predictions... after that last one... I'd be afraid to guess... But I'll be pulling for Chad Campbell and DLIII to have a good turnout. Always impressed with what Tiger can do, but can't say I'm a fan.

I haven't followed the europeans as much this year to really know them. But as all Ryder cups are, you tend to get folks that may not be doing as well currently (Funk, Perry, Furyk etc...).

Unfortunately most of the EU channels that cover it live are quite expensive. BBC only covers the highlights so it'll have to do.

Wow.. .I'm suprised that the coverage isn't as expansive there across the pond. You always hear how the europeans are the more knowledgeble fans etc... Which to me equates to more involvement and more coverage. I guess not eh?

ESPN should also have some good updates throughout.

As long as the Americans are only behind a couple points before the individual matches they'll win. They always dominate when playing solo, EU needs a big lead from the get go and have to try and pour it on. I still think the US is in good shape.

Tiger and Phil are currently 1 down to Padraig and Monty.

I hope Phil owns them all!

I had hoped the same. I even woke up at 7AM to watch the match but everything was being holed by the Euros. It isn't looking good at all for the Americans.

Assuming there IS a third day.... hard to believe, EU can actually win/retain it tomorrow. Anyone knows if they still play the individuals if EU actually gets 14 tomorrow (as remote as that is)....? For fans sake I guess....

I must say, Hal Sutton is one of the worst coaches in recent memory for me. He is benching Phil and Funk tomorrow morning and he is playing Cink and Davis Love when both of them sucked balls in every session yesterday. Fred showed a lot of passion out there and was really getting riled up about playing. Davis didn't look like he gave two shits (but then again, thats always how he looks).

Additionally, he insisted on pairing Phil and Tiger and apparently that decision was made almost 2 years ago and he refused to back down from it. Why not pair Phil with someone that plays a Titleist Pro V1 or V1x instead of making Phil learn a new ball all over again? Phil didn't do poorly in the morning session when he played with the new Callaway ball but when he was playing with the Nike ball nothing was going his way. Sutton needs to understand that he is allowed to make changes in his mind and he shouldn't always stick with his 'instincts.'
