I recently got my first Mac: 2.16Ghz macbook pro with 1gig of ram.

I installed parallel because i have to run an audio sequencer on windows. Probem is it won't see any device i hook up to my firewire ports or usb drive. I get the following error message:
'USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another process. Wait 5-10 seconds, then try to connect the device again. If this does not help, find the application that blocked up the device and disconnect it manually.'

and i get nothing at all on my firewire ports.

Any help will be greatly apreciated since i cant work on my recordings at the moment

Thanks

Firewire isn't supported on parallels and I doubt will be for awhile. And as for USB, its hit or miss as its having to emulate USB ports itself and right now does not support isynchronous (sp?) devices at all.

Bootcamp is what you need.
