I was looking through some of my old game CDs and came across a few that I bought when I owned a beige 233mh. After finding some older versions of DrawSprocket, I was amazed at how well they worked in Classic mode on my G5. Most of the games I had for an LCIII never worked very well when I upgraded to the 233. Actually, I think that had more to do with the OS upgrade (early 7 to mid 8).
Anyway... It was a fun trip down memory lane.

There are a few Mac abandonware sites lying around the Internet where you can find games whose publishers are defunct and nobody is around to enforce the copyright. I don't have any links at the moment because
1) I'm at work and my work PC doesn't have those bookmarks
2) It's technically illegal, so the Mods may not like it.
I found a number of those old OS 7 and OS 8 games one night and had a blast.
It makes me want to reclaim my old PB 5300 from my dad , put a bigger HD in it, and just load it up!
OK, maybe not. That 5300 was the low point of Apple engineering!

Cam 2 runs fine in Classic with the Glide plugin.

One of my favorite games ever was the original Unreal that never made it to OS X. maybe I'll fire it up in classic mode tonight and see how badly it plays.

for great old stuff, I highly recomment Macintosh Garden... http://mac.the-underdogs.org/
It's all abandonware and they pull anything that gets them in hot water. There isn't too much risk taken on by the downloader.

What I'd like are some of the more advanced games from the mid 90s. I was a PC user through the 90s and loved games like the first Discworld - those point and click adventure games with animated characters, voice overs etc. They were so much fun, and really funny too. Anyway I picked up an old PM7200/120 a little while ago and would love to play something on it that would really use its specs, rather than the really old 68k type games.
Any suggestions?
