my new powerbook came with a MS Word testdrive - that testdrive has run out now, so i can't use it - i'm going to pick up a copy of Word in the next day or so, but in the meantime, is there a way i can still use the testdrive? is there a file registering the date of it or something that i can trash to make it work again? that might sound like i'm actually not going to get that real copy of Word, but i actually genuinely am. (not that i love microsoft or anything, but..)

You could probably set the date on your computer back. This of course affects other things but it may help you along until you make your purchase.

Get the student version if you can. It is exactly the same as the expensive version.

the past while i've been working on programs less easy to use, and swapping all over the place trying to convert formats and things. it's good to have a good version of word now.
