I brought a used powermac g5 when I received it i went to start it up. The fan comes on but nothing on the monitor just sounds like it is ideling. I do hard reboot and it's fine. any suggestions?

Reset the PMU/SMU. If it's an early model DP 2.0, there's a button on the logic board. If not, I think you just unplug the machine for 20 minutes, but I've never had to do it so I could be wrong.
