I have located some 20" Apple Cinema Displays, but was wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on any problems they have had with their Cinema Displays? The reason I ask is because, the Refurb units only come with a 3 month warranty. This is a little worrying as they are still not the cheapest piece of equipment on the market

Really just wanted some indication if anyone had major problems with them ?

The 20s, 22s, and 23s are incredible. Well worth the money. The 17s are ok, but overpriced for what you get.

I have a 20". It's unreal. The quality, brightness and color are all mindblowing. And it gives me back so much desk space that I had lost. That said, refursbished may not be your best bet. You don't know why it was returned. My guess, stuck pixels.

Apple has excellent refurb products. I wouldn't hesitate about buying them.

I wouldn't hesitate buying a Apple refurb. if the price was right. I own a 23" HD Display and it's incredible to say the least...the quality and color is astounding. It's just an all-around beautiful display, you won't regret a single minute of owning it.

Finally back online!
Anyway, if you go to an Apple Retail Store they will take one or more refurbished 20" Cinema Displays and set it up for you so you can see first hand if there are any stuck/dead pixels.

This is something you cannot due with a brand new never open Cinema Display.

To be sure I understand, if I go to an Apple Store and ask to turn on a new 23 inch cinema display before I buy it they will refuse? but a refurb they will?

IVe carefully compared the 17 and 20 inchers side by side. The 20 is obviously superior. It hurts to say so, I have the 17".

So its a good monitor. But Ive heard the 20" Formac is also very nice. Some say better. It does not have same wide aspect as Apples, if that matters. It actually has more area though.

Exactly, I've been in a few Apple Retail Stores and spoke the the sales associates, they have all told me that they can remove a refurbished cinema display from a box and set it up so I could see if there were any anomolies or bad pixels.

They were not able to do the same with factory fresh new units.
