When I see the G5, Macbook Pro, and Apple Cinema Displays during the mission briefings, it puts a smile on my face.
Sorry, the only camera I had nearby was the iSight on my laptop.

That's it. I'm buying the game.
...because I love supporting my increasingly arrogant company.

I'm kind of on the fence with this situation. I mean, Playboy has been in since the original MGS (pretty sure.. definitely in MGS:2), and that never once bothered me. I kind of had the same reaction as Peter when I saw the Apple gear, though. I found a blog detailing some of the other product placement in the game and didn't even really recognize the rest of the stuff, like generic-looking cellphones that were made by Sony, or Triumph motorcycles:

Overall, I'd prefer that no brands make it in to any game, but that debate has come and gone. No advertising space may be left blank!

Did I ever say it wasn't ok in I, Robot?

I would much prefer they use actual brand names rather than seeing "Orange" computers and Motorala cell phones.

Why does branding have to exist in either form, real or parody? That is one of the signature qualities of Grand Theft Auto, but branding of any kind isn't really necessary. You can have a computer with absolutely no logos on it, we're just brainwashed to think branding has to be everywhere

I'm buying a PS3 soon, and was trying to figure on what game to get first. Resistance was winning, and still is, but this helped tilt the tables towards MGS4

MGS4 is an amazing game, for sure. Especially if you've been following the series all along.. be prepared for a lot of cutscene storytelling
