does anybody agree with me that popup windows should be illegal? well, i was wondering, is it possible to disable these popup windows in IE5 or netscape 4.76? thanks

turn off javascript and they will go away.
the downside is that if you turn off javascript, some sites won't work correctly.

If you used iCab you can disable certain javascript features... Your question made me wonder and I just found this out!! Very cool, no more pop-ups!! You can even set up restrictions indepentdently for each site you visit, enabling you to allow certain behavior on one site but not another. iCab Rocks! try it out.
