I've noticed there is many files on my computer that end in .zip, or .tar. such as QT Java.zip. Can these files be safly deleted? Or are they needed. I didn't download these they just seem to come with stuff and intall into varius places in the system folder.

The files are needed by MRJ (Mac OS Runtime for Java), don't delete them if you want to run Java Applet.

Thanks ...thats kind a what I thought but just wanted to make sure...netscape comes with a bunch too, so that hinted that maybe it was just sloppy compiling and putting pc stuff in there.
