You are bidding on the impossible to find XBOX 360
Couldn't have anything to do with not being released for sale yet?

A girl I was chatting to at lunch today said that her brother had sold his online for well over $1,000. I doubt it is the same one listed in that link.

Remember, those people are the ones who will pay $50,000 for a freaking grilled cheese sandwich, remember?

I read that there are currently 8,000 xbox 360s on ebay. The market will stabilize and the person who sold the xbox for $2500 will probably never see a penny of it.
I bet you could easily fetch $600 - $700 for one, but most of these people bidding in the multiple thousands are just screwing around.
If I honestly thought I could sell the 360 for $2,500 I would do it in a heartbeat, but I thought about it, and I think it would be way more hassle then it is worth.

I guess you'll never know. Not willing to try and all. That guy will have $2500 and you'll have a giant brick that plays old fashioned dvds.

Well, like I said, there are 8,000 Xbox 360s on ebay right now. I bet I could make $100 profit off of it, but not $2,500 bucks. Those days are over.

I am going to agree with you, if for no other reason than to ease the bewilderment I have from seeing that auction.

There are not going to be enough 360s to go around for quite some time. That's the buzz I'm hearing at least. A classmate preordered one just to sell it on eBay. It's just weird.
My son is 1) waiting until the stupidity dies down and 2) saving up cash to buy a system outright. I figure some time after the January returns season the prices should stabilize.
