So I know Apple.com will start selling as of 12:01 am PST on Friday, and Apple retail stores will have iPad 2s for sale at 5:00 pm (I'm guessing local time?). But what about the other stores that will be carrying the iPad 2? Are they holding out until 5pm? Or can I roll up to Best Buy at 10am and grab one?

Anyone know where I can find details? I'm not waiting in line at an Apple store and just want to know when I can get one somewhere else.

I'm getting mine at the Best Buy on the way home from work. I'm going to bet that they are also doing the 5pm thing. I don't know for sure, but it would be a shocker if they didn't.

My plan is to stop by there on Thursday the 10th and talk to the guy to get an idea of how many they have, what he anticipates the lines to be, etc... and then to maybe leave a little early on Friday to try and get there by 4. If that's not enough to get one then I'll just wait. I'm not going to line up for more than an hour. I have a personal limit to what I'm willing to do for things like this.

I actually have the day off on Friday, so I was hoping to snag it at 10 or so. My guess is Sams Club won't give a crap about the release time, so I may try there in the am.
