Hi,

I'm getting a new model Macbook this week and I will want to upgrade the RAM. I see that it comes with two 512Mb 667Mhz sticks so I want to replace these with two 1Gb sticks. I notice the system bus is now 800Mhz so should I try and get RAM that matches that speed? Is that even possible? Or does the machine only support RAM at 667Mhz?

thanks for your help
sheesh, that took 8 hours for me to be asked to change my sig...

1. Wrong forum.
2. Check the website of a RAM vendor like Crucial and they will tell you what you should get.

$0.02: RAM is cheap. If you are going to upgrade, might as well max out.

The 800 MHz RAM won't do anything different in the machine except cost more money.

On NewEgg you can get 4 GB for $125 shipped right now.
