So I haven't installed screen spanning doctor yet as I would like to read up about the risks a bit more. Anyhow does anyone run their iBook g4 on a 24" display (res 1920x1200) with that patch? Is it even likely that something like this would work?

nm. Looks like at least one person has it working on a 2405 with no issues (in the span doctor forums). Hopefully it will work on my 2407.

I have a Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP for a couple months but haven't hooked it up with my iBook G4 (32MB ATI Radeon 9550). I'm sure it should work with the 'hack'.

Just FYI if anyone is interested. My setup is as follows,

iBook G4
1.2GHZ
1.25GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 (32MB)
Dell 2407FWP

I can push the full 1920x1200 res @ 60hz/millions with spanning. Seems to work pretty well.

Only thing that bothers me is that the dock stays on the iBook. I did not enable clamshell (as I had no use for it).
