Look:

You are running an unreleased version of a web browser on an unreleased version of a new operating system.

A function button that is identical to that in previous versions isn't functioning as obviously intended.

You are asking how to get it working.

I'll give you the obvious answer:

ERASE YOUR ENTIRE HARD DRIVE AND REINSTALL THE RELEASE VERSIONS OF THE SOFTWARE WHEN THEY'RE AVAILABLE.

Let me just go bang my head against the wall some more.

It won't restore my faith in humanity, but it might dumb me down to the point where I at least don't *miss* the presence of intelligent life forms.

You have a developers' license?

Are you running the GM? Did you upgrade directly from a developer preview? If so, did you do so without completely erasing your drive and reinstalling from scratch? If you didn't, WHY NOT?

Why the hell are you asking HERE if you're under NDA and have access to the developer forums?

I stand by every single word I wrote above. As far as I can see, it still applies completely.

Also, just as a hint, Mr. Legitimate Developer:

have you maybe tried just deleting ~/Library/Safari/Downloads.plist ?

You have absolutely no business running a developer build.

The tilde is the standard designator for your home directory.
