Using Mac Mail and discovering that the subject line of some messages do not relate to the
content of the message. I was going through old messages and some that I opened
were totally unrelated to the subject.
For example the subject line from someone I know will read: From John: "Here are the photos from the weekend" but when
I click to open, the content will be entirely different and unrelated, perhaps from a different friend, or organization
I'm affiliated with. It's as though the subject line has been placed on an entirely different message. It makes it impossible
to find the material I'm looking for.
Is this a virus? I was showing this weird issue to another Mac user and she said she had the same
thing happen to her email after she clicked open a message supposedly from her cable company.
Also, I've received mail from people I know with an innocent enough subject line, but when I click open
the to read it and the link they've sent, it seems completely bogus.
Last month, my mail crashed, I lost everything. I think the HD finally went so I've replaced it,
and imported all my mail that was backed up to Time Machine onto the new HD. Still though, the mail
is acting strange.
A number of odd issues. But would appreciate some troubleshooting here.
Thanks.
