I will be in Rome, Italy for about 10 days and was wondering if anyone recommends any particular prepaid phone card for making calls from Rome (or Europe in general)to the U.S.? AT&T's prepaid cards are about $1.00/minute. I figure I'll need to use about 200 minutes, ouch.

There are hundreds of cards when I search google. https://www.idphonecard.com/ sounds enticing at 11.5 cents/min. Anyone use them before? I'd be grateful for any tips.

If you don't require voice calls, I suggest getting a prepaid phone SIM and send text messages to people back home and in Rome. When I was in Malaysia last year, I bought a ~$20 pre-paid card and still had some ringgits left on it when I left after a month.
