In OS X there is a way to print to an IP
address on the internet.

Is there a way to do this in OS 9 or was
this an additional functionality that was
above and beyond the MacOS (i.e. offered
by a third party).

A friend has a writers group. One of the
writers has a Mac running OS9.

The friend wants to be able to have the
OS9 user print chapters of her book to
the IP address instead of sending them
PDF files.

Do-able or not?

And yes, the Mac user is at a different
location than the person with the printer
on the network.

Was there ever third party functionality
supplied for OS9?

Thanks.
