Bummer! we had a power failure yesterday while the Mac was in use and I am not sure if it is that or the fact I started playing Warcraft III or just gremlins at work but I am now getting a message
"---- [9] The Mac OS ROM file is missing or damaged. Please reinstall your Mac OS X system software to get a new copy----" -

I thought it was a Mac Classic file so switched to X only - now the screen flashes and cycles but fails to boot up the computer -733Gm 1.2 Gb RAM running 10.1.5 - the thing I dread is the need to reload all those upgrades -any ideas . suggestions - prayers I should say?

I am sending this off on my iMac the "Big Mac " is temoprarily out of action

any help appreciated
