Wonderful imagery.

Steve: Introducing the new Mac Mini - 1/2 the size, 4 times the power! Let me show you this demo...

[starts coughing]
[grabs that bottle of water he always has - with the snap top, of course]
[doesn't work - continues coughing]
[accidently faces audience, thinks coughing fit is over]
[ends up spewing his phlegm over the entire front row (no pun indended, of course)]
[chaos ensues: people screaming, crying, shrieking, fleeing the scene..]

But you're right. I couldn't help but think "Boy, he's sure coughing a lot..." when he was showing demos of the updated iLife applications.

Maybe he was just sick with a cold. It is winter in North America after all, and the show must go on.

Without doing an exam on Steve, there is no way of know for sure what is causing him to cough. A cough in and of itself is no reason for concern, there are many causes. May thoughts and prayers are with our beloved Steve Jobs.

Obviously you weren't paying attention to what happened to Apple when he wasn't there.

Steve's perfectionism, charisma, and "vision thing" are major reasons for Apple's 'goodness'. Unless he can effectively institutionalize those qualities while he's still around, or unless another leader with the same qualities is found (hard to do), Apple will begin another decline should Steve retire, die, or otherwise cease to be the CEO of Apple.

After his issue with his pancreatic tumor, I suspect he gets regular CT scans. I think its unlikely that Steve has an undiagnosed lung tumor.

And, I don't think he smokes, either. He's actually a big time vegan.

It`ll be like 1984 after all...

If you notice there is a pattern to his cough, he only coughs if he shutsup for a while, I wonder if that means something.
