Disconnected from the cloche line. That energy cell is charging while still attached to them.
Just did a dump from the greenhouse. Capacitor is literally burning 300 RF/t into nothing.
Edit: Looks like the graphical power monitor is part of the problem.

Whoa, the server back up is ballooning. Went up 300 MB while I was sitting idle alone on the server. (6.6 GB to 6.9). It was 4.3 this weekend.

The backup getting bigger doesn't really surprise me, since the more we expand our territory the more it has to back up. That said, the server actually limits the number of old backups so it's not eating disk space like a fiend.
What I will do is double-check the modpack configs to make sure we are not doing 'double backups' or some such stupid thing (having one backup make a backup of the other backup... ). I can also reduce backup time from the current 2 hours to, say, once a day. That might be the smarter angle.

OK, back in town and took at look at the server backup situation. Don't panic, we're fine.
Server backup done in 00:00:12! (381.5MB | 9.2GB)
The first number is the instance backup (381.5MB) while the second is the total used by all backups (9.2GB). Looking over the past few days, on 9/5 the daily backup was 376MB. So the daily size went up less than 10 MB in a week. We're fine. I did change it to every 8 hours instead of every 4 hours, though.

I'm getting on for a lengthy spell tonight. Time depends on how quickly I can get my firstborn asleep.

From the logs it has. I stopped digging my new tunnel north so that slowed down the new chunks
The hosting service does monitor the backup folder and automatically removes the oldest files. Plenty of backup for us should something really go "oops" though.
Has anyone noticed any improvements with the latest version? I haven't been on... was out of town visiting my daughter this past weekend.

Alright Jawbone, in an attempt to get you closer the the 20th century, I'm giving you a to do list:
Inferium Furance
Inferium is the green goo balls enemies sometimes drop when you kill them. It's also an ore. An Inferium Furnce is slightly faster than a vanilla furnace and slightly more efficient. With enough inferium you may then upgrade it further, enhancing that speed and efficiency.
Pulverizer
Upgradable machine that at its most basic will give you 2-to-1 on ores.
Sterling Generator
To power your Pulverizer, an easy to craft EnderIO generator that runs on coal. Good storage capacity, and coal is very plentiful in this mod.
Hammer
No need for a fancy Tinker's one, but for large scale mining and clearing out areas as you furnish, much more efficient than a standard pick. Picks are more detail work.
Fatty:
I got one for you, too. Figure out a transport system for getting to the floor in the Deep Dark, be it a teleporter or viaduct.
Chop. Chop.

Also, my genius on full display last night: Make a new cleaver with less invested in beheading. Decide to change a part, but instead accidentally create it. Create the right cleaver. Realize you could have just replaced the wrong part on the first cleaver. Jawbone gets an awesome cleaver.
Seriously, it's damage is listed at 18 some. The thing is a war crime.

Until my kid woke up, the pulverizer was my next step last night. I've been using hammers like crazy, though — that's what I used to clear out the mine below my place.

After that display towards the end, I was very, very happy for your mistake.

There are lighting glitches some times. Placing and breaking a torch can fix it. That or theres a block that only looks solid like a stair letting light thru.

Last night I got caught up mining, adjusting base layout, clearing out the basement, an adjustment to the bridge to my place. I eventually got the notification that the server was shutting down in 5 minutes (3:00 AM my time).
I panicked, trying to finish something up, but fell quite a bit short. I waited, waited, waited, and then logged back onto the server...
Until 5:00 AM.
Easily the least adult thing I've done this month.

I feel like the thermal passive power generator might be the best way to go for someone who doesn't plan on stomping down the tech tree. I can make JB one along with the cold and hot fluids to place next to it if he so desires, takes the annoyance out of stocking a generator with coal.
I planned on using the first batch of viaducts in the deep dark before I decided to make an access tube through my base, but that's definitely my next step.

I decided to stop making JB stuff so as not to make him feel helpless else I would have made that thermoelectric generator last night. It's a great solution but it's materials are too advanced to ask him to make it himself.

I'm so low on the tech tree I"m still just using that one water wheel...
(yea, think about that a few... over 2km of track laid, a volcano in progress, and my only power other than furnaces is a water wheel...)
That's the great thing about this server; it's all about what you want to do !
(next up, methinks, is a windmill. just because )

I agree that a big part of the reward of this game is actually building things yourself, but if anyone ever gets stuck somewhere and needs a quick out our base is pretty well stocked with everything at this point. Drop off some diamonds and craft whatever you need, that goes for all the server's inhabitants.

Sadly I have to make a new pick because my first one has too many bad decision modifiers on it.
JB - my pick design for you, which you can easily make with your own materials:
Head - iron
Handle - bronze
Binding - paper
Add a diamond for durability, and lapis and red stone for better loot and speed respectively, as you can afford.

it's only worth it if we build a mob-spawner colosseum where we can collect most of the drops AND select who to pit against who. Ergo, "let's pit a mob of zombies against a Blaze" (throws zombie lever and pushes blaze button) (waits) "c'mone, someone hit the other one!" (taps fingers) "geez, this is lame" (gets irritated - pushes big red button.... everything dies). "Oh well, let's try a skeleton vs a spider next..."
... OK, maybe NOT the best idea

Alright. I'm in a major renovation at the moment. Nobody visit my base for the next day or two. I want it to be a surprise.
I've put this off long enough, and I can't progress until I get the place set up.

I feel myself approaching end game and kind of want to tear through a dungeon just to see how far I've come.
Also, do fortresses still exist? Ocean Monuments? Are there any other mod types I might have missed? I did find an ice temple which seems to be just the mod dungeon with a different skin, like the wood and end stone ones.

I've found an end fortress there should be 30+ others. Ive found an ocean monument, lost the waypoint though. I don't if this version has the new forest mansions vanilla added. And you're not end game until you go to any multiple of 1000x1000 in the end and kill the dragon there.

In the twitch app https://app.twitch.tv/ at the top you click Mods then Minecraft, Browse All Modpacks search for "All the mods lite" It uses the minecraft launcher. All the Twitch app does in download all the mods and setup forge.

With andi, that should bring us up to 6, correct? I feel like the extra players could grant a bit of novelty.

Server should be able to handle 8-10 total with how it's configured, so feel free to invite like-minded individuals. I don't have the server white-listed so as long as they have a minecraft account they should be good to go.

Theres an option in the general section of the app settings so that it closes when you hit the red close button in the bar instead of whatever. I've filed bugs about it twice.

I've been exploring the map, looking for home, and thought that I'd head south of cyclops and west of spawn... only to find Jawbone's white marble lair.
Moving right along then...
