MotionSavvy has released a beta version of a Leap Motion-equipped tablet case that can
interpret American Sign Language. Using gesture recognition, MotionSavvy-interpreted ASL is spoken out loud, with the aim of reducing communication barriers between hearing and deaf communities. Users can sign in front of the tablet to generate audio dialogue, and hearing participants can speak near the tablet to generate a text version on the tablet screen. Those interested in trying out the preliminary versions of MotionSavvy can sign up online for more information.
