I have a powerbook15 inch with 256MB of DDR ram. I'm thinking of bumping it up with an additional 512 MB in the other slot is this possible or is there a particular amt of ram that i have to pair with the initial 256Mb? Can i have a powerbook with 768Mb of ram?

Unlike the G5 (which requires matched pairs), there is no special constraint with memory installation on PowerBooks/iBooks.

Search for "RAM" (There are too many related threads -- and you'll get your answer quicker if you look there.)
BTW -- Crucial seems to be a highly rated supplier.
Enjoy your new performance (with the additional RAM)!
