At home I have a small network, G5, Mac mini, G4 MDD and 2 PowerBooks. Everything is connected to a Dlink DGL-4100 Router (laptops connect thorugh Airport). I used the Mac mini as a headless Windows machine when I had assigned IP numbers to all the machines, but I started having problems in that area and now I just want the machines to get an IP number from the router.

However that means I wont be able to directly connect to the Mac mini. I use Microsoft's free Remote Control Desktop program. The instructions say I can just type the name of the machine and it will connect, but this doesn't seem to work! Unless of course I'm doing something wrong.

Does anyone use RDC in the same way I'm trying to?
