I have downloaded and installed the newest update of Shockwave Player version 10, but my browsers dont seem to recognize it. I have the permissions to install, I am using both of the required browsers, I dont see what I am doing wrong. Any Ideas?

Did you have a previous version of Shockwave installed before?

Try using the "Uninstall" option of the installer and then try installing again.

Also, use Disk Utility to repair permissions after installing again.

Shockwave? wow do people still use that? I thought it was consumed by Flash circa 1997.

Shockwave is still around. You'll find it in your Internet Plug-ins folder.

Shockwave can do much more advanced things than Flash, if your making web games theyre much faster and complicated in shockwave plus you can do real 3D.
