1. Azureus or Transmission? (include reasoning)
2. How do i set up port forwarding(i do it because a friend told me it's suppose to fasten download speed) - need ya'll to answer on this "whether it does up the download speed"
BTW, i'm on broadband, router sharing with pc.
I did it for my PC but i switch few months ago to mac, how about forwarding on mac?

Transmission...no frills and a penchant for aesthetics = win.
Azureus and Xtorrent simply have too much bloat. Xtorrent is almost a full-blown web browser FFS. Dave has never "got it" and probably never will.

You have to set up port forwarding on your router for BitTorrent to work properly, which, at the end of the day means faster. This only applies if you have a router, though. You need to configure the router to send traffic on ports 6881-6999 to a certain IP address, the one your computer uses (that should be static) on the same ports.
Actually configuring a router to do that differs from router to router, so a little more information is required. What kind of router do you use, if you use one?
Also, I like Transmission better. It is a simple, functional, app. It doesn't try to manage my downloading life life some apps do.

Actually if your router is UPnP capable, the BitTorrent client should set up port forwarding at start time.
